Is there a withdrawal period when using amoxicillin? Or can one still eat the eggs?

I would suspect the levels would be so low in an egg…?

She stopped laying eggs weeks ago, I'm pleased because she was overly used.

The eggs people buy at shops are full of antibiotics and a host of other drugs

They are very attractive chickens. How do you find them compared to leghorns? Is Cornelius better behaved than Bob was?

Yes I do like these, they are so super friendly, they want to follow you everywhere , they want picked up, This rooster #3 that I kept ( there was 3 of them ) #3 was the friendliest
, let me pick him up and was chummy with the hens. So he got to be the ruler of the coop and crowned Cornelius. His feathers have filled in more this last week. His tail to. I’ll try and get a more current pic of him. I love the pattern on his chest black with the little dark red feathers in between. This pic is free 2 weeks ago.

Can you see/tell what is wrong? Sore/infection, sprained ankle/foot? (i.e. any obvious tenderness if you touch near/around any joints? Any redness or swelling anywhere? Any limit to what she will allow if you check her ROM?

I'm hoping it is a simple sprain/twist that will gradually get better with time. Will she stay in a sling if you make one for her? @Kris5902 has a great pic of a sling she has made/

FYI: I've found, for my chickens, they don't stay in the sling well unless they are really sick/badly injured. However, orps tend to be a bit more easy going and Rose might be compliant. though not sure on that since she doesn't seem to like a foot soak, and many of mine have really enjoyed the warm epsom salts soak...and will frequently sit for 20 min...or more (mainly until the water cools!)

Now bear in mind both of those girls were near deaths door when they didn’t mind/tolerated it… however, I also used the same sling towel to stick the legs through and burrito the heck out of one grumpy barred rock so I could soak her feet. So the towel with leg holes is a very handy tool! I’m considering getting a dedicated one and binding the edges of the holes now that we have rescued a sewing machine from storage… the towel eventually fell apart with washing because I just hacked little leg holes in it and never fixed up the edges. But the thrift stores nearby do have a good towel supply/selection.
