@BY Bob Is that a Leghorn Chicken on your profile picture? I have two of them. They are two years old and they are still quite small. I think Grandma and Tony were a little bigger than them when they were 2. Or maybe I'm just underestimating it.
Yes. That is Elphie and behind her is Daisy, the greatest hen ever, as a very young pullet. We started with leghorns and I just loved them. They are very small compared to the dual purpose breeds of even lighter normal sized chickens.

Have you ever thought of using some of that corrugated PVC panels?

Or this product; Ondura Premium9 Panel

I was thinking of using it in the rooster run.
I'm looking at PVC as well. The good news is the situation is not urgent now.

Its 5 am, i have been awake since 3 am. Why do I hear chirping 🤣those babies are up early every morning even with no lights!? I'm usually finishing a giant cup of coffee and already let some of the dogs out to potty. Next will be dog meds then let the chickens out in the coop. Have to go buy some more feed today.

Littles sleep-wake-sleep-wake constantly, just like human babies. And they are very chirpy/talkative. Louder, more talkative when they hear someone or it is light and they are very active, but they still meander around, eat drink, 'chat' even in the dark...just not as much as when in full daylight!

I love to hear littles soft peps - it is very soothing to me.🥰
