Weather Tax

Penelope in the shavings bag laying her egg - I almost dumped her out in the stall hahaha!

That look she gave me.... leave me alone! I am laying an egg!

Seeing the hen's toes curled over it I realized I hadn't sanded down the porch edge. Removed the ladder and did it with a fine file today. Nice and soft now.

Popcorn on the ladder and Hazel at the top, Peanut on the litter by the log, Butters behind Hazel (she was first up).

They all paused before going in. Nice! Peanut's butt, left, and Hazel next to her, looking at her while in mid-groom. She preened a bit, and so did Popcorn there on the right. On the porch, @BY Bob !
Would it be more comfy to put something down on there like chopped hemp for them?

It would be easier to keep clean - I put down shavings on my roosts and the top of the nest boxes - make cleaning poops easier.

Good job - looks like the are really enjoying that new ledge!

How does that reconcile with the "named chickens don't count" Proof?
