Chickens in the morning
I have talked (complained) a lot about the Math Majors roosting up in the rafters.
I have not posted as much about them coming down.
Here we have the morning landings. One perfect. One not quite so perfect.

RC. You know that I’m a pilot. So any landing I can walk away from is a good one!

Yes indeed!
That is why I did not describe Babs’ landing as bad. I think it was just ‘not quite perfect’!
She has learned a lot - she used to need about 8’ of runway. Now she is using hardly any.

Excited to join in on chicken experiences.
Welcome!

We all love a good chicken story with pictures, and to keep the thread focused on chickens, we need to pay tax (chicken pictures) if we wander off topic and just chitchat.

Speaking of which, there seems to have been a lot of weather chit chat recently so I am looking forward to seeing some lovely tax payments. You know who you are people!

And because I am also guilty of weather chit chat (it is snowing here again) here is my tax payment in the form of the lovely, but resentful Eli who I confined to the hospital because she was poorly (maybe egg bound).
There is a whole saga around this that I will tell when I have calmed down. Enough for now to say she escaped, laid an egg, and is now much better.

I have never thought about making a bun what a great idea!!!
It didn't last long - that pony-tail holder was too slipper for his feathers and it fell off. But while it was on he was able to see better!! When I get home (at the rate I am going it won't be any time soon!!) I will give him a really good trimming of feathers.

Sometimes running around will help get things moving along.... Anyways hope she remains well!

Here is a hug for Eli (hugs hugs hugs) and one for you to RC (hugs hugs hugs).

Weather weather weather.... dreadful weather.

WELL.... my plans sure didn't work out the way I planned. I wanted to prevent the issue of getting stuck somewhere remote going over the lakes in Northern Ontario going home, and as you all know I was going to go through the States to miss any bad weather.

NOPE - Mother Nature has gone off the rails, the Fates have decided I MUST experience winter and its fury one further time this winter. And thus I am stuck in a Hotel in Carrington ND. Yay.... Hey at least I am not stuck out on some northern road with NO hotel in Old Blue... It's warm, there is a restaurant across the road.... I have internet access. So it's all good - and best of all safer here.
