Just had Welcome to the Jungle play in my mind
I don’t mow the grass in the paddocks generally, but around the house and pedestrian areas, and living areas I maintain the lawns.
Today my niece and her coworker came by to dig out some stumps, and they drove out back with the Dodge 3500, and trailer and a small excavator - in the process tearing up the lawns and making ruts.
Not that I am not extremely appreciative of them digging out the stumps and smoothing out some piles of dirt. But riding the lawn tractor over those ruts is brutal now!
Next time it rains I will run the tires of the lawn tractor over the ruts to pack them down.
Through all this the chooks were freaked out and stayed in the barn, and then the mamas decided enough was enough and put themselves to bed
Curly on alert, the chicks doing their thing

And would someone please tell Rico to stop roosting on my lawn chair.
