WHAT THE BLEEP???

:hit:hit:hit:hit:hit:hit:hit:hit:hit:hit:hit:hit:hit:hit

How did Mrs Clean-egg get Peronitis??
Today she wasn't herself, just sitting in the corner doing nothing. Both she and I knew it was her time, but I don't have the gut to do the processing so I called my friend that obviously has a stronger gut. The worst part was that I had to hold her legs while my friend processed.

Anyway, I had come across @ManueB's thread about her hen Caramel, that from what I believe died of peronitis as well. So when I saw that burst yolk ALL over her insides, I knew.
She had a LOT of water inside her, and those burst yolks. Little to no feed in her crop.

Oh I am so sad to hear this, but you did the right thing. Ones has to have nerves of steel to have pets and kids.

:hugs :hugs

But I was told to keep a silkie! At this rate I will have gobs of Roos running around!
Actually I would love to keep the wee fella he is such a darling, and I love his eyes. I am really toying with just keeping him and not one of the silkies.

See now this is why I didn’t want to hatch eggs 😢 I get attached and can’t get rid of him.

Just had Welcome to the Jungle play in my mind 😆

I don’t mow the grass in the paddocks generally, but around the house and pedestrian areas, and living areas I maintain the lawns.

Today my niece and her coworker came by to dig out some stumps, and they drove out back with the Dodge 3500, and trailer and a small excavator - in the process tearing up the lawns and making ruts.

Not that I am not extremely appreciative of them digging out the stumps and smoothing out some piles of dirt. But riding the lawn tractor over those ruts is brutal now!

Next time it rains I will run the tires of the lawn tractor over the ruts to pack them down.

Through all this the chooks were freaked out and stayed in the barn, and then the mamas decided enough was enough and put themselves to bed 😁

Curly on alert, the chicks doing their thing

And would someone please tell Rico to stop roosting on my lawn chair.

I have four of the same chairs and my girls love them! At least they clean up well with the power sprayer. If you put out a more comfortable chair with a nice cushion, I bet Rico will roost there instead 😎

Cheers,
Tim

Am I understanding right, they didn’t keep you in the hospital?
No they didnt I got sent home with a zio patch too. Apparently I am supposed to take it easy for 4 weeks after the neck ablation and its been a week and I have been cleaning and stuff. Guess I will not be doing that again.

I don’t so much mind him roosting there, it’s the stinky gooey little presents he leaves me 😆

Need another old sheet I guess, at this rate the whole barn is going to be covered in old sheets!
