That sounds horrible. I hope your pup gets better soon.Apollo is fine. He is still a little out of it from the vet giving him regurgitating medicine.

Hahaha ya that’s something I would also doThis made me laugh but also panic a bit. Mine are still going in their little door to the brooder box at night. They are roosting in there not huddling in the cardboard tray.
I still haven't tried closing the door so they can't get in. In part I am curious when they decide it is too much of a squeeze!
Awww that’s just sad, what an idiot person. You be careful also.I made a neighbor angry today.. I warned him about the weather (Excessive Heat Warning) going to be very hot this weekend. I asked him if there’s enough water and cooling stations in his yard? I mentioned that “remember, chickens are people too!” He didn’t like me saying that! He’s not a good person to have so many animals in his home.
That's okay - you did the right thing by his animals to 'remind' him. The animals will be grateful for any additional care they might get because you cared.I made a neighbor angry today.. Ok gotta go guys and batten down hatches - tornado warning here - heading below ground.
I will let you all know what’s up (5:32pm).
Yep...you didn't read far enough. Can you bring in 1 'friend'? I know you only have 4 chickens, so not sure that either Meanie nor Manny would be a good choice...so I really don't know. If you had a number of chickens, it would probably be relatively easy to find a 'friend' for her - but not really sure with your situation. If they are 'away' too long, then they have to 'reintegrate'. Each flock can vary a bit - but with her recent heat stress and general slightly off-ness, I wouldn't want her to have that added stress. This is probably too late, as I would have just suggested she go out at night, then come back in in the morning when you went out to feed and check on them.![]()
I took her back last night. Manny certainly welcomed her with open "arms". Darn amorous rooster. She's been there all day. Apparently my constant wetting stuff down has helped. Goodness! Where are you? Looks like us.
