Might I suggest Cardhu? It is the sweetest of all the scotches I have had with a caramel-like finish. I imagine she well be a sweetie. Cardi is also a nice shortened form of the name.

I second Bobs vote! Cardhu was Andrew’s moms preferred Scotch. Beats Laphroaig hands down, both for naming and drinking qualities (a touch too peaty IMO)

The 2 black ones are already Cumulo and Nimbus. Dunno which is which as I can't tell them apart yet. Cumulo will be whichever turns out to be lighter. Nimbus is the one who ends up darker. If they stay twins.....ummmm I'm doomed.

I feel this so much! I can currently tell who is who with my 4 Orps due to their speckle patterns but when they molt Also, doomed.

Floyd is the wildest looking chicken I have seen.

I am really hoping he turns out to be a well behaved roo and gets to stay as a Mr.P. apprentice!

I am well I have been trying to balance learning more without scarring myself silly. Mostly, I am trying to just hit pause till I know more, sometimes thats easier to then others. Normal I think.

The weather is hot and humid. I am thankful we are in a valley and have lots of tree cover. I am also glad the coop and run are very airy lots of windows to catch breezes.

Brownie is still broody, I have just decided to wait her out while removing all eggs often and pulling her off the nest once a day at least. Convincing her there is no rooster so no lore babies are possible falls on deaf ears since it worked the one time and all.

The tweens are integrating more and more. I have noticed that the Big girls primarily reserve their pecks and chasing to the two boys. I feel for them but maybe it will help them to be gentleman when they grow up into big bad Roos. I am trusting the tribe on this. These 4 are so gentle and laid back, I know I have said it before but it still surprises me just how different they are from my OG’s.

Thinking of you. The waiting is tough.

Thank you! We are learning these things as we practice! We certainly don't have a bigger tube but will definitely make it more liquidy. The instruction says 45ml of food paste down her throat, but I am thinking that is too much and I will make it less volume tonight.

We got this medicine called Slippery Elm that seems to function like oil. Definitely lots of massage.

That sounds like a lot. I figured 30ml was all I felt comfortable putting down in one go.

The tweens are definitely doing a mini molt their feathers are everywhere.

The shade cloth is up, or, as I call it, the black sails. It's still very breezy today, with the wind coming from the south and going right in the doors, so the fans are not woth bothering with. I know the shade will help the run. Hopefully the coop.

Is currently 96 out and in the coop...also 96. At least it's not hotter inside. Eenie and the triplets aren't panting. There's plenty of cold water, electrolytes, and damp earth for everyone outside. That's about all I can do. Can't wait to have a better coop.

They've actually lowered the temps in the forecast. Hopefully they lower more.
