There's almost nowhere to put that coop without putting it on a concrete oven.
The house I'm in is old and the laundry room is a addition.
My Mom rigged this up but I think she may be out getting more.

We have a "natural" dryer scent ball thing in there. I think I may be slightly allergic to it. But I am definitely allergic to the "free and clear" dryer sheets my Nana insists on using. I tried to read the ingredients but my eyes and nose reacted so fast to whatever on earth is in there that I could hardly read them.
Yes, I’m sensitive too. There may not be a scent but there are other ingredients that coat the clothes to lessen wrinkles. Venting up and above is best, so that air will move away and not be wafted back, depending on the wind direction.

SHRA Dryer sheets tax. Also just very happy the chicks are all alive as of this morning!

For those with roosters:

I was reading on a different thread that we shouldn't let roosters mate in front of us because it means we are lower in the pecking order than the rooster. Is this true?

I spend a lot of time with my chickens, mostly just watching them and relaxing, but lots of the time my eyes are closed and I enjoy just hearing them plucking grass and scratching around, making their little noises. It seems like it might ruin the peace of it if I have to keep watch to make sure Cesario isn't mating in front of me!

By the way, he doesn't seem ready for this yet. It's a hypothetical question.

Never heard of that theory, and it doesn’t make sense to me either.

For Pony Sunday (and other critters), I took this pic at work yesterday

She's 1 week old. The 1st time mother had twins and rejected this one. Owner is raising, had to get stuff, so brought along in a baby wrap/sling. This will be a VERY people friendly standard sized goat when she's grown. (Didn't ask the breed). Her ears are as soft as Sherlock's.

And last walk before leaving for work yesterday...

Pony Sunday

A chilly start to the day, but it’s 18C (64F) now, going to be 25C (77F) later on which is nice weather.

Took a couple photos of Truly and Lulu; Reenie would cooperate by standing still.
