Yes I figured 6’ would be perfect, seems it’s perfect as a launch point for the trees !!!Wow! They really do casually hop up the 6’! Is that fencing there ostensibly to keep the chickens in? Maybe next year get a couple of chunkier birds- some marans for dark eggs? I hear they can’t take off
It’s the Polish in them, makes them light enough and have a greater wing span, enabling them to really fly well. Their mothers can’t fly more than 4’ and lately I haven’t seen anyone except Buttercup flying up onto the Hen House door at night to roost.
