I thought this guy would be a misfit. But it seems he has become one of my friendliest of feathered buddies.
Then there’s CeeCee the EE. Sweetheart, but she’s tricky. IMG_4577.jpeg IMG_4568.jpeg

Beautiful bottem!
Someone has been talking to @BY Bob
Awwww I do that also 😊

The key to having babies and adults together is to provide lots of barriers they can get under away from the adults, also sight barriers so they can get out of the eyesight of big bad adults.

Make sure no place to get caught in a dead end, and multi levels they can hop up on.

My adults will peck mine, but they learn fast which ones to stay away from. But the only way they can learn is by being out in the gang. Mine get integrated as soon as they can run away - about a week or 10 days. I always monitor them but try not to get involved. Tis the way of the chicken.

Awww your hubby has it bad 😊♥️

You need to get him a nice lawn chair to sit in with a cuppa tea (ok a beer), and let him watch them peck and dig about - it’s very therapeutic!
:goodpost:
That husband deserves a bit of spoiling. Candles beer and nice things to eat 😋

Apologies to anyone I missed - I did have a period of no internet.
Awesome thanks! I was wondering we’re Mystery Aurora was - I missed that photo 😊

Ok well back to mowing the grass.

My BIL and Uncle were ‘fixing’ my riding mower and completely killed it off. So now I am stuck mowing with the push mower.

My lovely niece is dropping by with her work mower in about so that will save me a ton of time 😊♥️

Meanwhile I still needed to mow the chooks fence line and under the trees where her big 0-turn mower can’t get under. Thankfully it’s only 82C (feels like 98 with humidity)…

They all stopped by to see if I had treats.

Anybody near Los Angeles, or Orange County California? There is a rooster that needs a new permanent home. His name is Willow, and from what I hear, he’s a good rooster. :old :idunno
Roo's are practically banned everywhere in L.A. or OC . When we rehomed our accidental cockerels we had to go to Riverside County and Nevada to re-home. I mean, it's not impossible in some places to have a roo but places around here get saturated w/surplus and most roo's get dispatched. There was a place in Whittier that processed people's Cornish X's and surplus roo's but that was never an option for us!
