Pretty area ~ do you have a battle w/ weeds? It drives me nuts here & cuz of chickens, pollinators and live insects for foraging we dont use pesticides or weed killers so we pull garden bed weeds by hand ~ ugh!!

During the wet times it's a never ending battle with weeds. All our chickens roam an acre and a half around back of the house. The bantams go over and through big enough holes in the fence and graze out front. Wetry not to use pesticides but the fleas were so bad that we had to spray our back yard a couple months ago. We didn't let the chickens out until we cut the grass again. It took care of the fleas and no chickens were harmed.

The power co-op is trimming along the power lines. They've done a nice job trimming but need to come back and shred everything. Our power line right of way is about 70 meters long. This fall I plan on planting the tall sunflowers along the edges along with a variety of sunflower and Bluebonnet in the middle. The goal is to make it beautiful for next spring and summer.View attachment 3921924

I let them grow and call it a wildflower meadow.

That is how I got the artemesia that the chickens love so much. It just thrived under my neglect.

Well look at this...subscribed to this designer for a coffee turtle, and found these cute chickens in the welcome pack! I'll be printing keychains of these all week long haha!


I need to get into designing my own it seems, I want ALL the chicken breeds 3d printed!!!

I need to get into designing my own it seems, I want ALL the chicken breeds 3d printed!!!

I like Harriet. Snow looks a tad deformed - her beak has been trimmed!!
But my bigger question is what is a coffee turtle?!

Yes, but it's currently the only flexi silkie I can find haha.

My printer only prints in one color but I could paint details on it

Tax, went and sat with the chickens earlier. The mommas brought their babies nearby and I was able to get a good look at them. No pasty butts!

Our chicks went for shiny rings & tried to pull out the stones! I have 3 cases of rings and cant wear any around the chickens! They'll rip off band-aids from fingers too!
