Finished an egg collecting basket. I uh...got distracted by the toddler at one point and I guess added another increase row? The outside was too big! I left the pockets but they aren't quite as secure as I'd like. Oh well.

Very sturdy, the handle is doubled up with different stitches to make it less stretchy.

The number of eggs I planned it to hold
View attachment 3922390the outermost two pockets seem a little unsecure, might be best for tiny eggs

Still very sturdy

It does hold them properly, I just didn't get that one egg wiggled in enough haha.

I gave each one a little pat goodnight. The mommas let me get away with so much 🥰View attachment 3922395
Maybe you could reinforce that with wire, to make it stronger? :idunno

If you don't mind go ahead & P.M. me if you're willing to treat and keep your chicken indoors for as long as it takes to heal. I deal w/ it every year w/ one particular hen that scrapes her feet into scabs. It's easy to treat without surgery but time-consuming as our vet taught us. Don't panic & send me pics or video short of the bumblefoot pad/s. ❤️
Alright ill send you a link to the fourm. I would love to keep her indoors but she is a huge bird, a boss lady and will get so mad its crazy!

Just read your posts. Looks like you are getting good advice.
It takes patience. Lots of soaking to soften the skin and get the kernel of pus out.
@bgmathteach taught me to use corn rings under the vet wrap to help take the pressure off. That really helped with mine. The one on the toe may be harder to do that with.
Yeah but with my other question about why I did not get puss I did not get a answer, and im curious as to know why. Did I catch it early? Or do damage for no reason. Thanks by the way!

That is absolutely Adorable & so darn cute but still way bigger than we need ~ 4 Silkie egg slots is way more than enough and that one's got 8 slots ~ way too big, so sorry but someone will need it I bet! Possible to make smaller?

I sewed wedding dresses and did my best to understand what a bride wanted but many times I had to seam ripper apart my work to modify. So frustrating but I gave the brides what they wanted. One bride got pregnant after the 1st fitting and 2 weeks later day before the wedding was busting out of her bodice! Overnight modifications ~ fastest I ever did an alteration
😄
