Nature, creation, the outdoors. That's why farmlife stabilizes people. We all have problems but citylife makes more wackos out of people compared to the ones in the country who somehow get thru their hardships w/stronger resolve.Your kitties are so cute! I NEED to put my face in their fur, itchiness be darned
I love to cuddle with my cat (when he's willing, he can be a huge cuddlebug when he wants to be, and he purrs like a motorboat)
The Lord of the Rings trilogy has been a comfort to me since I was small. Of course, I can't watch the theatrical versions— only the extended editions
My weighted blanket is perfect for comfort. The pressure is niiiiice
Talking to my bf... And him reading Discworld to me. We're almost all the way through the series! Right now we're on I Shall Wear Midnight. I love Discworld so much, Terry Pratchett's world and writing are a comfort because it's a fun escape from the Roundworld sometimes, when I need it!
Being outside in nature... And, have any of you ever heard of grounding/earthing/rooting? It's the practice of taking some time out of your day to stand with your bare feet on the earth. It can do wonders for not only emotional health, but physical health too! (https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC4378297/)
He reminds me so much of Betty. The way he has that ‘look of eagles’. I have seen horses with that look.@BY Bob
please give Rose a big hug from me. I know polish have a special place in her heart and you all are still mourning the loss of Phyllis. I am sorry her wish to follow Versace grow up has been taken away from her now as well.
I do not have a Polish for her to follow from afar now, but I do have George who is as close to one as he could get. Please if you think it will offer her comfort or even the smallest joy and not pain share the pictures and stories I post of him with her.
I took these just a few moments ago. The little man is learning about the back door now and when I open it I am coming outside with treats. He is getting braver and bolder and soon I think he will be brave enough to attempt his first solo walk-a-bout in the house.

I am sorry he is dirty. It has rained for 3 days and he is now mud bathing instead of dust bathing.
He does.View attachment 3989469

Happy Caturday, everybody. Hopefully Mr. Slop Eater here helps cheer everyone up a little
I would guess not reported or tested. They burnt all the bodies yesterday to try and clean up.Her first little cockerel that was ill?
I think that would be too far back. Unless he something different from AI that is just as contagious and acts swiftly.
Most illnesses just don’t act so swift, such as Coryza which is what I had put my money on. And doesn’t have the high morbidity.
Of course the only real way to know what her chooks died from would be to have them tested. I do not know if she has reported this or not.
Very sad and very terrifying.
They are lovely - and no, not triggering as they are clearly growing out nicely - it is those pictures where the poor things look so uncomfortable that I can't stand!Molting In November
Last week it was 17F in the early mornings. Anna /Annie sets herself apart (she's on the left) a lot when she rests I think because of her molt. So I set up another panel for her there.

Annie and Tedi, hopefully not too triggering for @RoyalChick

The whole gang stopping to preen by the warmers. All the Spuds (Buff Orpingtons) are in their first heavy molt, and Hazel (brown Buckeye) is molting too, but slowly. The roost has been looking like a pillow fight occured in the night

A warmer day a couple days ago, it was Friday so I tried to get butt shots but you really don't want to see that, it's mostly just pins!

I've decided the Spuds should be called The Merengues, or Toasted Marshmallows for now, until they finish their molts. Or The Creme Brulees...
The cold wind whips through this alley, looking directly North, quick, get across!

I noticed also - Lozzy does good workYes. @LozzyR created her for me. I wanted to tribute all the polish we have had in our lives.
I had no idea Lozzy did art. That photo portrays Phyllis really well. I love the pixel style of it too.I noticed also - Lozzy does good work![]()
