they were grumpy last evening with the blowing snow and sleet, they went out and turned around and came right back in. Then they tried out the back door - same weather conditions apparently! Imagine that….

I’ve made two boots, the first fell off after a short time, the second I did better but she may have pulled the tape off or worked on it, she is as all chickens usually are, very industrious. When I checked after two hours it was still on but then a couple of hours later, just a lone piece of tape was left, stuck to the top of her foot which she didn’t bother about!Why take the boot off? Seems counter-productive? It's not gonna heal in just one day?
My next idea is from @Ponypoor, to wrap the toe. It is more risky, to be sure to not snug it too much. I have plenty of vetwrap to play with. I could try vetwrap with the shoe, I got the feeling it was the tape on her feet she didn’t like.Why take the boot off? Seems counter-productive? It's not gonna heal in just one day?

Mr P has been getting a 1/2 aspirin at night for his sore leg/foot for a while now. Seems to help him quite a bit.
Wrap her is a towel to keep those wings contained - they hurt when they wack you with them.
