And she has stripes.

We have some lovely 'zebra' chickens here - Sydney of course, and then a bunch of lovely Dominiques, there is just something about a lovely BR/Cuckoo patterned chook, they are jus so sharp looking.

Caturday Saturday

Have a busy weekend lined up, need to mow the grass at the barn, it's so tall the chooks are able to hide in it now. Last night Tippy was 'lost' when I was bringing everyone inside - I tracked her down outside, she was a bit upset and gave me the stink eye. I told her that it was her fault for not coming inside when I called everyone in! She just gave me another stink eye. The grass needs to be cut, and since my riding mower is out of commission the push mower is going to be hauled out.

Also need to thin out my lettuce - the chooks will enjoy that I am sure! And I will need to put my fans back in place for the upcoming heat wave, and put some mesh up over the Hen House door to stop those who like to roost up there.

I noted it before, HRH has a lovely comb, but no wattles (bearded chooks I guess don't have wattles??? ). But I cannot remember seeing other chooks that have lovely combs but no wattles.

Who else out there has one or the other (wattles no comb or comb no/small wattles).

She looks like a pullet to me, and that is beautiful colouring on her feathers - is that a topknot in the making?
