Good to know. I didn’t see any fluff or feather around her eyes. It was more like she got them glued up while she slept. But I don’t see any concerning discharge or anything. Initially I thought someone pecked her, but I don’t think so.
She was clearly terrified at being struck blind, and when I opened her eyes she sort of swallowed her last shriek and stared at me in silence with her beak half open.
She is quite goofy and she does have big eyes!

Hmmmm I think Holly and Jolly must have been that age or a bit more when I shoved them under Georgie. Their wings were developed like that.

And they took to Georgie right away and she to them.

I laugh because it's both a happy occasion and, I'm afraid very sad, that they will be leaving your brooder. In other words, not the end of the world if Tassels doesn't take them, in my opinion...If you don't like it I'll brood them for you!

PS I have just the setup for little Geronimo, a veritable jungle gym, and they get 2x daily class trips out onto the bed!

Chippy prolapse stayed in overnight. Yay!
And Geronimo is learning to roost. She is a bit precocious that one!

Whiskers tells me this year she is ready to be a mama - I don’t believe her, look at that gleam in her eye, she says it’s the gleam of motherhood.

Now Georgie and Holly both would be more than happy to be backup mamas, so they say…. Georgie stop enabling your daughter!

Yesterday was WGVU at the Zoo so we went on a family trip.
Hubby took the day off, gramma and grampa bought tickets and lunch (and the toys kiddo wanted) and we had a grand time.
