Back at the hospital. She has a blockage just past the stomach. I let her go w her dad bc it was his weekend and she wanted to go... I should have kept her. They think it just twisted. We'll be at the hospital longer now.

We caught a coon last night. Saw on the cam that it was here earlier last week. Fwiw we cover the cage w a tarp, pin it down & back a truck up to it & let it run for a while. It passes out from the fumes & dies in it's sleep.
Prayers:flhopes things will get better

Good morning everyone hope y'all have a nice day, stay hydrated:)

They discovered that part of the intestine had flipped and kinked itself. So was doing really well so not sure when it happened, but after it kinked scar tissue formed and it stuck to the bottom of her stomach. They removed it & put it back where it belongs, but her stomach was so stretched out that they put in an ng tube to keep her stomach drained so it will shrink down. No foods or drink for a while. We're here for at least a 5 days. They're going to do an upper gi before they let her eat again, but that's days away. It's funny when ppl ask why some things don't bother me.. It's bc things like this happen & you just have to deal w it. At least I changed my pants before I left for the er so I don't have chicken poop all over me, so that's nice.
I can't keep clothes clean or paint free for any length of time.
Sorry your DD has to go through all this!

You must live at coon central!
I know, we've caught 5 in the last 3 days. We are planning to keep setting and baiting them until we stop catching them for a few days, then move to a different area of the property.

And the neighbor told us there wasn't a coon problem when we moved here.:smack

He also was skeptical about these traps working, and he is a trapper.

He also told us that clover doesn't grow well here....... Every where I look, I see white clover.

Sounds like he is full of...hot air.

Awwwwwww. :love

Congrats Stacey!
Have you introduced him to Cooper yet?
I bet they become great friends.
This kitten, the size of a beany baby, strutted right out of the cat carrier with tail held high and explored the house with confidence.
He’s not the least bit intimidated by the dogs even though he’s had no previous exposure.
Cooper is QUITE excited by it and wants to snuffle him hard so he’s back to “dragging a leash” so I can stomp on the knots in it if I have to, plus I’m wearing a treat pouch 18 hrs a day.
I’m lucky that cooper is so very food driven.
Also the kitten has figured out all the dang baby gates we have everywhere and scales them like spider man leaving cooper in his dust.
I keep telling myself , “what’s a little more chaos?”

Jonah -on the other hand- is over the moon to have a new napping buddy.
