They discovered that part of the intestine had flipped and kinked itself. So was doing really well so not sure when it happened, but after it kinked scar tissue formed and it stuck to the bottom of her stomach. They removed it & put it back where it belongs, but her stomach was so stretched out that they put in an ng tube to keep her stomach drained so it will shrink down. No foods or drink for a while. We're here for at least a 5 days. They're going to do an upper gi before they let her eat again, but that's days away. It's funny when ppl ask why some things don't bother me.. It's bc things like this happen & you just have to deal w it. At least I changed my pants before I left for the er so I don't have chicken poop all over me, so that's nice.

Morning all :frow

cap the quail look awesome

Well I fixed my humidity pump on the brinsea, if you have one, take the top off and make sure water isn't accumulating in the well for the motor. Mine sits on top the bator and apparently water condenses around the motor and then falls into the well... One of the leads had corroded and broke off. A little solder and we're back up and running just fine.

Wow what an ordeal. Good attitude to have! And I’m sure the folks around you are glad you changed your pants too. :D
Best wishes for DD :hugs

Glad you had a good Dads day. And thanks for the tip on the humidity pump. I haven’t had that problem but will remember it if anything goes wrong with it.

Is this on an Octagon or an Ovation?

Ugh, I shared pictures of my Dark Cornish on several Cornish FB groups. I have a person from Mexico and a person from South Korea asking me to send them eggs.
:th

I've told them it is almost impossible to get eggs shipped out of the country and even if they did get there, they probably wouldn't hatch.

Besides, my girls aren't laying right now.

Well THAT is not the easy fix I had hoped for.

WOW! Hugs and well wishes for you and your small human.

Nice compliment that they want your eggs, but they could just put a dozen of their own in the dryer for a minute and have better chance of them hatching :gig

Ppl are so weird. Like, maybe the one from Mexico could make it through customs fast enough, but the one in SK would def not make it, plus the heat from travel... I wonder about ppl.
