Its pretty cold here. Can't wait for spring to really start. I'm glad we aren't getting any white stuff though.

Lonely chick now has a name. Robin (Robinson Crusoe).

My mom came over to take Thing 1 for a couple hours and she said the chick was sounding rather distressed out in the brooder on the porch. It is cold and wet and it has been getting colder all day long. Poor baby had cold toes even with the heater plate. So I brought Robin inside, wrapped it up in a paper towel and reaffirmed my crazy chicken lady status by having a boob chick. Since it is getting close to freezing tonight and the guineas have pipped internall, I decided to move Robin back to the incubator (with feed and water). I think that helped. Poor little thing.

We were putting up bird mesh over the garden today. Danged stuff snags on everything! We got most of it done and then I got really hot so we took a break.
Then I was cutting wood for the modifications to one of my brooders. And painted the wood. I plan to put a solid bottom in it instead of wire, and make the sides a foot higher.

I just wanted to take the time to tell all of you i am so sorry i only pop in and out! I really miss talking with all of you, i have just been all over the place with everything here. I am upset with myself that i have missed SOOO much these past few+ months. I know it really makes me look bad to just pop in and ask questions here and there and i really do feel bad for not staying in touch with everything and everyone. Just know that i do care about everyone and enjoy reading all the updates and seeing all the photos that are shared
I really hope everyone is staying strong and safe in these crazy times! I am going to try to be more apart of the site again .... i love the photos and stories everyone shares and i love how helpful everyone is. :hugs
