Official Squatch Watchers

@CSAchook I would consider a small lip one the edges of the ramp, just so the chicks don't fall off while learning how to go up and down, then take the lips off once they are not bumping in to them. I know the little ones tend to bounce, but avoiding broken legs is always preferred.
Thanks!!! I will talk to hubby about ramp modifications :thumbsup

@pitbullmomma Lily is a doll baby! :love
Of course I love them all. Equally. :D
I've found that pics can be deceiving on these little devils, as far as combs, wattles, colors. So we will still hold out hope for "She's"

Also keep in mind, I had one silkied cockerel that was smooth for months. Then all of a sudden, his lower wing feathers starting turning silkied. Next thing I know, he's a fuzzball! :lol:

@WVduckchick

Now I just have to get pics of Fergus and Pippins...I'll get some later.

It's a beautiful day, we're going to go to Seaside, walk around the boardwalk, people watch, and eat giant pieces of good Jersey pizza and drink cold beer at the Sawmill....ahhhh...let the summer begin!! :)
Very Cute!

No help here though

Good afternoon everyone!

I just got done sending three of my Cochin/Dominique cross boys (about 6 months old) on their way to freezer camp. Too bad @TexasSam isn't around. He wants to hear how these boys slaughtered. I guess I'll PM him to make sure he doesn't miss it.

They have WAY more breast meat than your average DP bird. They were also nice and heavy. I need to get the cleaned weights from them. The one REALLY annoying thing, was plucking the feet. One of them had quite a few ingrown foot feathers that were hard to get out. But I got it done. I've made a note that is something I need to check for when I'm picking breeders. I don't want a bird with ingrown feathers on their feet.

I am now down to 96 birds again. I have 3 eggs due to move to lock down tomorrow so I won't be breaking 100 until at least week after next!

Goodness. Never seen that before.
Yeah, only one of them had it.

But even the ones that didn't were still a PITT (pain in the tater) to pluck. I had to use needle nose pliers to get some of the smaller feathers off. I'm really picky about feather removal.
