So cool - you are the first person whose chickens I have heard of actually using a swing. What fun!
How about an experiment tomorrow where you swap Ginger and Inky for a couple of hours so Ginger is on her own in Inky's place and Inky is in with the others (supervised of course), and then swap them back. If it goes well you could try for longer the following day.

Light and Foggy like to use the swing as well. I think I have videos of Foggy swinging somewhere. It is really cute scene.

Your idea is VERY GOOD. This is what we did in more detail:
- first, we put Inky in the big run and they ganged up on her after 2 min.
- second, we took Ginger out but still left Inky there (which is your idea), but they went for Inky again.

I think it may be a different scenario if we take Ginger out first thing, if you see the difference. We will try it.

Observations

Hattie was seen today leaping over 2 feet in the air to snag an apple off of one of the apple trees.

So she is not sitting around doing nothing?

Well, it’s 103f outside, and the chooks are still active in the yard. I have swapped out five different ones in and out of the house so far today. Hen-Rietta refuses to be picked up and taken inside. I even have treats for them if they want. Oh well!

Full time job keeping them in line!

More Guessing Games

In other news of note, while i was away yesterday, someone took a dip in the pool! This individual was able to get up in the seats and stand up. Why they did not simply fly out from there..... well.....I can only assume they liked the cool water on their feet.

Mrs BY Bob actually had to get in the pool to get them out.

I'm glad you are trying to see if any combos work. I hope something solves this.
