She jumped from the platform below the window, up between the wall and Diana? An relied on Diana momentarily ducking to avoid her to get a wedge started?

BTW are those nestboxes beneath the platform, and has anybody used them?
Yup that is what she did.
Yes they are and Dotty (RIP) liked them and used them a couple of times before she died.

Holy Dinah that wee gal is a bossy thing isn’t she!!! 😊 yes the shuffle is funny 😊
She seems to have great clarity in what she wants and just goes for it.
There is no evidence she has become top of the pecking order (she isn’t even laying yet) - she clearly defers to Maggie and Diana on eating and when to go in or out of the Chicken Palace and where to forage. But she will do whatever it takes to get that roost spot!

Happy Fluffy Butt Friday everyone. Today's contributors are mostly of Bunny and a one or two of Raven. Both those girls are very, very, very angry with me and are letting the world loudly know it. Bunny is still not broken up from being broody and last night Raven thought Bunny had the perfect idea and joined her in the other box. NO, NO, NO. I've had to resort to drastic measures, the porch boxes are closed for business, and they are NOT happy.

I'm so glad chickens cannot talk, because I have been cussed at ever since.

WOW, Bunny is one angry looking PEACOCK hen.

Heart for hugs :hugs and though I feel Bernie ought to respect her elders and be nice about it, she gets a 👍 for being so clever and determined! She doesn't seem to dominate elsewhere, does she though? I wonder if she's feeling a bit vulnerable without her crew buddies and really needs the inside spot to feel safe at night.

I should be upset with you, but we all know my luck. To be fair, even though mom and grandma picked out the eggs, I have snuck and tweaked their choices. I'm going to try the new girls eggs since it has been proven it is the hens who determine genders. I'm also going to throw in the 2 cochin eggs. I have not yet tried to hatch a cochin egg for myself. I did manage to have 1 hatch when I let grandma fill the incubator. I let it go, but wouldn't you know, it turned out to be a pullet. I have 4 silkie eggs chiquita laid this week, I will not set them, I promised mom no more "fuzzies" this year.
If I was a gambler, I would bet against you for the rooster mathematics you have proven (that’s why I said male names)……..
but remember, “Roos need love ❤️ too!”

More babies. Ill be cleaning their room tomorrow including brooder.
