Thank you so much for you guidance on that crumble, Princess can handle eating that with no problems at all.

I'm annoyed with myself for trying too take her picture while she was eating because she moved away but she went back for more after then away then back for more and more and, well you can guess she's still at it.

Why have you got her house cleaning again

I don’t have any frizzle chooks, none of my kids do house cleaning. Sometimes my friends from church will come visit and clean up the house a bit. (But it’s never very dirty anyways)

I also think black chickens are really beautiful. For a long time the only black chickens I saw were harcos, a type of black RIR we have that are not especially pretty. Later I saw pictures of Australorps on the internet and found them striking. But the black hens featured on this thread have really caught my eyes. I fell in love with little Bella†, who left too early. I think Dorothy is stunning, and Raven so special. And Lilly the Ironbeak who passed before I started following . Merle isn't a striking or elegant beauty but I to my eyes she is very beautiful. I'm so happy I got a black chicken in the hatch, and even more that it's very probably the bantam of the lot.

I admire you so much for the way you take care of your Grandma. Four generations of strong minded women is not often seen. I think doing this hatch for her is a beautiful gesture. If you're feeling adventurous you could even let her name one or two chicks.

Bernadette has always had a solid spirit- brave as a bear. It's to your credit that she is so strong on her legs now.

It's raining steadily today. The chickens are unhappy and I will do taxes and accounting inside.

Just to say I think Merle is elegant and very pretty. I loved the video of her flying out of the tree - a feat which she achieved with great panache!
Also agree with your sentiments on @RebeccaBoyd who is doing a wonderful thing for her grandma.

My father pretended he was not amused but was always in his chair the minute it started

My dad had dark hair and wore it like the Fonz with a white t-shirt and leather jacket he looked just like Henry Winkler too.

Dakota jumped up on my bed, came close to me, laid down right next to me and fell back asleep. What a sweetheart this little red hen is!

Ps. Henry is much older now, with white hair, but still he’s doing fine and always helping people. I’m proud that I was able to meet him in person.
