I'm more informal. I usually say "Hi girls!"

But if I'm a little tired I sometimes come out with "Hi puppies/kitties"
I call mine.. ‘people’... as in... move it, people! or zip it, people! But when greeting and talking to them I say ‘Hi’ in a high tone.. over and over 😄

Someone is Taking Over my Spot

I did not go out Sunday morning and sit with the ladies. My mother was coming over that afternoon and deep cleaning of the house must occur before her arrival. At one point I looked longingly out the window and fortunately for the flock, someone was willing to assume my roll.

I would LOVE to see someone ‘trying’ to sit on her knee 🤣

But I don't see her leaning back in that chair, with her legs stretched out, like you have the habit of doing! just saying.

Oh my, I really need to be online a bit more to keep up here.

:hugs @featherhead007 I am so sorry for your loss :hugsbut I believe you did the best thing for your girl. I understand how hard it is to have to help her along like that, but when chances of recovery are that slim, the sooner you can give relief from pain the kinder. I don’t remember if I mentioned it, but we had a similar situation with one of the horses here in August. I asked the person charged with making the decision (in the owners absence, as we are Citiots) what she thought the chances or recovery were “less than 1%... but if she were my horse I would give her more time, I wouldn’t give up on her while she is still standing” I had to actually walk away. I told them to call me when they needed me but that I couldn’t just stand there and watch her suffer. Not ten minutes later she was able to make the decision.

It is the hardest decision to have to make. But I agree you did the right thing:hugs:hugs:hugs
