Scooby showed up at my friend's house as a 4 to 5 month old strat kitten. She is a huge cat lover like me so she puts him in a spare kennel and posts him on Facebook for adoption. I took one look at his face and I said to Rich 'we're getting another cat'. 🤣

This was the picture she posted of him. I took one look and saw he matched Taz and I knew he'd be a perfect fit. The rest is history
So adorable!

No you cannot get out of bed to tend to the chickens because I am very comfortable here on top of you.
I am stuck browsing BYC!

There are worse problems to have.

You could have 1 hen terrorizing others at bedtime for example.
Going to one up you on that Bob... Got the text an hour and a half ago that, like it or not, the cows are being put into my chicken yard/ trailer area today. Frantically moving everyone into the field. Taking a food break before I drop, and trying to de-stress. Just when things were starting to look positive. There is no pasture here, but there is a barn they know has Hay in it. And all the yummy chicken feed barrels.

The cows discovered this spring that they can smash the 2x2 framing of my big tractors with their heads, and lift the meat tractors and hospital tractors and toss them around like toys to get at the tasty chicken feed I give my birds. I lost two chickens to them. FML.

Surely more notice is appropriate?

There are many worse problems to be had. That is for sure.
I feel you need a two pronged attack of the problem: training Phyllis to go up on her solo roost, and some sort of behavior work with Aurora. I am less confident of the Aurora piece TBH.
I don't think modifying Aurora's behavior is very likely. Buy I will try.

It's a hard call. It seems there's little if any real affection being expressed. She's telling Phyllis that Phyllis isn't happy enough. Sowing seeds of doubt.

I think Phyllis needs to hear another rendition of "you are my sunshine" from Mrs BYBob.
I am going to make that happen! Good idea!

That is not good news.
