A small stuffed animal will sometimes help. That's usually more for peeps but it wouldn't hurt to give it a shot.

She is an absolutely BEAUTIFUL buff, I think it's wonderful that you are trying to fine her flock, but don't feel bad it you can't, she'll be happy with you and your flock.
I agree, or if you can put here where she can see your flock. I have personally stopped quarantining new chickens, but we don’t have many illnesses here, and I know even the neglected flocks here are fairly good parasite and illness wise. Yes I know it’s not a good idea... but it may help she may also be thinking about laying or missing a nest? Tailless makes noises like that sometimes while she is laying, or while making a nest (usually in an inopportune place)

:yesss:
I knew that! I got Orpingtons nailed (well at least buff and lavender, not sure if there are other colors).

There are many colors, but I want Jubilee Orpingtons as well!

Wow - what a beautiful chicken! But now I realize I celebrated my mastery too soon!

Are there any tack stores near you? I'm really thinking he needs a good foot packing. I googled hoof packing in Canada and came up with this...

Something to help pull the infection out while cooling and soothing the skin would you best bet for recovery until the antibiotics come in. He'll probably be humiliated, but wrapping his foot with some cotton batting and vet wrap would give him a bit of a boot with shock absorption.
I like this idea

I could likely order you one through my job. I get all the old eye drops and medication for my chicken kit at home. With my doctor's permission I can order from any of out supply catalogs.
We may need to do this. I get the left over eye antibiotics from cataract surgeries where Mrs BY Bob works. I have those in stock. I have only needed to treat Lilly so far but I was glad I had them.

We can work something out for sure. My doctor won't mind as long as we pay for it and I let him know ahead of time.

Another great idea for antibiotics, is this product. (And it works) for chicken infections, of several types. 60D7B521-9613-451D-89BF-5EEDC957E6D0.jpeg

Oh dear . We are hopeless enablers....:lau

Except for Shad of course.

There he goes again with his logic, practicality and years of experience! *

Honestly Shad, sometimes you're no fun at all! 😜

(* just in case it wasn't clear, I am teasing you Shad. I really do appreciate your logic, practicality and years of experience !👍)
I don't get out much. You can probably see why.:p:lau
