Well, I have cleaned out the hospital tractor and filled it with the most clean, dry, and non-stabby hay I could get. I still don’t have the amoxicillin, decided to try giving Roosties foot a poke to swift there was any infection near the surface. It definitely hurt him, and no pus was evident, although I only stabbed a little bit, slightly less than 1/4” deep. I’ve put him back on the enrofloxacin and am estimating his weight at ten pounds and rounding up... at this point I really don’t know what else to do. His molt is going well at least. And he is happily sitting in the big coop with me, who is feeling quite guilty for pointlessly pricking his already bad foot. He is such a sweet boy!

These two Yahoos caught a mouse last night, and I am thankful they didn’t try to eat it. It had a botfly larva in it :sick now they are either wanting fed, or are trying to help with the dishes.
They left it for the chickens to enjoy. Very considerate of them!
