I love Belle’s colours, she’s getting so many more spots as she grows, a lot more white through her, even on the tips of her tail feathers now.

I am going to do that tomorrow - it will be 95 so definitely worth trying to get it cooler. I am sort of happy to find that the Chicken Palace tends to be a degree or two cooler than outside because it is in shade and with a good breeze wet ground will help a lot.Just going by the girls' reaction I knew I was onto something good
She is supposed to be a speckled Sussex (I was going for 2 of the same breed, even if they differ in size etc)
That makes sense! I was once told speckled sussexes become more speckled with time. She's going to be a lovely hen.
