"She's Gone" In Memorium

It was at approximately this time on June 28, 2019 (2 years ago) that my dear Patsy passed in my arms. I am going to commemorate the moment right now but I feel I need to do a full memorial celebrating her life. For now no Mr. Peabody, just a photo of her finally at rest in my arms.

Aw… RIP Patsy ❤️

It’s still Monday somewhere.
I haven’t been taking many photos lately, been busy so just enjoy the little time I get with the girls 💜
Here’s some from this morning ☺️

I love Belle’s colours, she’s getting so many more spots as she grows, a lot more white through her, even on the tips of her tail feathers now.
Belle - At first I thought she must have been eating yogurt! :gig
I have saved on my browser for a few weeks a picture of Snow looking critically at Belle, like she's looking at something, now I think maybe the white spots, "Hey, white is my department!" 😄

I am going to do that tomorrow - it will be 95 so definitely worth trying to get it cooler. I am sort of happy to find that the Chicken Palace tends to be a degree or two cooler than outside because it is in shade and with a good breeze wet ground will help a lot.
How do you plan to do that? The Buckeyes run, kind of freaked out, when I turn on the garden hose anywhere near them. Probably because it's something in the air, and it's a new sound. I might have to try lugging water out to their ground. Today I made two small puddles and only covered an area of at most 2x3 feet, so covering more ground would be better but a lot of lugging. It is cooler here, but hit 87 today. They walked around with wings out some, mostly not panting, but when I put more ice cubes in their water at 2pm and they moved around a lot because I was out there, two were panting very soon. They have a good amount of shade but the air temp is high nonetheless.

I just discovered I could copy it from the tab on my browser! I like to keep pictures to look at in tabs for awhile. This is the one:

Mugshot from Naenae...trying to show that she lost the tip of her upper beak, but couldn't capture it. Not missing much of it and she is eating and drinking fine. But my goodness! These birds are WORK!
and not to be outdone, Piscia did something to her leg and limps when she runs. I looked her over and see nothing swollen, no bumblefoot...I think she must've landed funny when she jumped down from a perch. She puts weight fully on it when standing and walking and still scratches at the ground.. so I'm just keeping an eye on her. It seems better from this morning even.
