I caught hawks circling the yard today. Here is video. The intial pass was at around 10 feet of elevation just behind the fence line. They have not left the complex today.

One hawk, no registered flight plans, no permission to enter your airspace. Circling over your hens. …. I say, call the FA18 tactical group, and shoot the bogie down!!

Bob, speaking of roosting, with Peggy sitting on eggs, the other three hens have become extremely peaceful at roosting time. Now Sansa is no longer there, and Phyllis is using the cluckle hut, perhaps things will calm down with the other four hens. What do you think?

I don't think so. Aurora will not permit it. Remember, she is a step beyond what both Lilly and Sansa ever were and needs to keep Hattie below her.

I really miss the sound of the song birds. The quiet is disturbing.

Well, I've noticed big and small pellets in Australia. Not sure what's available in your market.

There are some suppliers that make a small pellet, but not all products can be found that way.

My silkies X and her sister both went broody at the same time. The silkie X hatched the 4 eggs, the other pretended for the whole 3 weeks hahaha!

I don’t want to jinx myself, but none of my hens has ever gone broody.
(Me knocking on wood).
