Really!!!!! You have pronghorn??!!!! That is freaking awesome!!!! Have seen those suckers run amazing!!!!! I usually see a herd or two when I drive west. They are amazing animals!!!

Unfortunately really endangered...

not endangered around here. The tenderloin makes fantastic stir fry, but getting them can be challenging. Like chickens, they post sentinels.

All are supposedly 'Americauna', but they must just really be EE, as they lay blue-green eggs...so not true Americauna

The cat is a rescue, so I am assuming a long haired domestic feline 'mutt'. She picked me.

Actually, a true (Ameraucana) is how the breed is spelled. If you get an Americana, you can bet it’s an EE (I think EE’s are beautiful too)

If they all lay a blueish green, they could be Ameraucanas unless it’s a pretty “green” green or you have some tan mixed in. The Ameraucana blue gene isn’t dominant which is why crosses with one Ameraucana parent can lay brown or green. Crested cream leg bars have a dominant blue gene, so that makes crossing them easier, all their offspring will lay blue or green depending on if the other parent was a what’s or brown layer. The brown is an entirely different set of genetics, not related to shell colour which is why there is such a large amount of variation. Andrew swears my Blue layers lay Green eggs, so there is also the variation in how we see colours as well!

Just watch out for spiders! Oh hold on the chickens probably take care of those for you… should have brought a hen or two in for my Barn Campouts I suppose!

All are in. Perched on their spots. Arizona refused to enter the coop. I’m taking her inside with me again tonight. She promised me, that she wouldn’t bite my toes in the morning (but I don’t trust her, and for good reason) !
