Is Sydney trying to Crow?

There were weird noise coming from the complex this morning and I caught this on video. Poor Betty needed to lay an egg but what was Sydney up to?

Have you had a shift in the pecking order, Bob? My crowers have tended to be one of the top hens but I have had exceptions. Morrigu crowed but with her I think it was a dominance issue. Ha'penny [Campine] & Nuggest [BA] have crowed. Luna often sounds like Sydney. I call it her whinging voice because she tends to vocalise all day ~ usually loudly. :barnieI suspect my top hen is now Ha'penny because Luna is a gentle soul who wouldn't fight for that position but will be an excellent subordinate, being far calmer & far less prone to drama than my Campines. Aoife is the present enforcer. This will be interesting. I'm pretty sure my mad women shouldn't be in charge of anything but it is what it is.

Tell her careful, too nflders she would be breakfast hahaha.

We only have white tail deer here, smaller - that's a mule deer right? I see many in AB when I am working.
This is a mule deer. We have white tails more down along the creek bottom, and a few antelope (I've been informed 52 head) in the valley. All have been known to be meals on our table (along with elk), just not from so close to the house.

Setting traps tonight, just had an all alarm but couldn’t for the life of me spot the BBB. The chickens settled, and I was fighting with a watered when the alarm goes up again and a huge mink darn near ran across my boots from under my trailer. Not a happy camper… it’s only 2pm here so full light

Definitely trap time! That's either a BOLD one or a hungry one. Neither is good.
