She needs blueberries
That's what I had for breakfast.Jaffar update: he ate a few blueberries, and some plain Greek yogurt. Then started crowing for the ladies, so I brought him back outside. He’s out there crowing right now.
Little Tina grabs everything. I really struggle too get my Agatha a single blueberry. Tina was told off and now I know whyShe needs blueberries![]()
That’s what he asked for. Yogurt and blueberries. Maybe you both are related? That's what I had for breakfast.
I have given Enrofloxacin (Baytril) for Lash eggs/sapinglitis and for the foot issues with Roostie I treated with an Amoxicillin Tylosin powder with dosing help from here… you might be able to use a human amoxicillin, I was trying to get some of that while waiting on the pet supplies I had ordered (and figuring they might not make it across the border) luckily my package arrived, shortly after a vet was found that would see a Rooster, and he did a very intensive course of straight amoxicillin from the vet then I gave him an additional course of the AmoxyTyl which was what really seemed to kick that infection out of his poor foot.I've had no success at all in finding calcium supplements here that is not full of zinc fillers, sweeteners and flavourings. Chewy is not an option so I got really brain drained last night searching. They have taken off the original "tums" people left messages too the company but it seems the company are just ignoring what people want too order or pay for.
Would you please let me know the antibiotics you use for for infections. I'm wondering if a human course could be used in minute doses because it is insisted that we use vets, which I do not have access to plus I'm hearing bad thing's on the ordinary cat/dog vets . I think I would trust my doctor a lot more
I don't know what lash egg is. I will try to look this up . Thank you very much for your supportI have given Enrofloxacin (Baytril) for Lash eggs/sapinglitis and for the foot issues with Roostie I treated with an Amoxicillin Tylosin powder with dosing help from here… you might be able to use a human amoxicillin, I was trying to get some of that while waiting on the pet supplies I had ordered (and figuring they might not make it across the border) luckily my package arrived, shortly after a vet was found that would see a Rooster, and he did a very intensive course of straight amoxicillin from the vet then I gave him an additional course of the AmoxyTyl which was what really seemed to kick that infection out of his poor foot.
Have you seen any other strange “eggs” like a lash egg that could indicate another reproductive issue? Or as an ex Battery hen she might just be so calcium depleted that she can’t shell her eggs properly. It’s good that she has you to help her. Another thing you could try if you can’t get the supplements take eggshells, bake them to kill anything potentially harmful and very finely powder them, in a coffee grinder or with a mortar and pestle… like down to a super fine dust, then cook that into some eggs and feed this to her. It’s not perfect, but anything that helps…
Ya I hear ya!!!Suddenly silence. I better go check the chickens!
