No. Potty training the lads [I had 3 all up] was always a prolonged process. The girls just got up one morning & decided to be dry from that point on ~ & were!

Ugh. The d*mn husband was giving me trouble so i took the littlest and skipped town for Two days. Been struggling to get my household caught up after that because it is an extra difficult household. Lost 14 of the quail babies under his care

He said my job is Easy! (being an npip breeder with a business in the green after its first year and most importantly taking care of our family which includes twin 3 yr olds and a 2 yr old) he also said many other things but it didnt take long to start begging me back and i just cant leave my step children. They may not be biologically my own but they cant be anymore mine than they are the needier twin clamped onto me and would Not Let Go without screaming and crying during the Whole first day back. Like id been gone for a month or something I had to go potty with him screaming in the hall terrified of loosing the only woman hes had full time in his life for his whole life

No worries now though he even issued a public apology after bringing the crap to fb

She really is lovely. I'm amazed by my bantams. They can run rings round the big girls.

OK that does make me feel better - it is not just me that has a confused on line personality! You would think though, that on a site called BackYard Chickens that there would be more chicken stuff - I mean it is a pretty big hint that we are interested in, well, chickens!

I'm quite reassured that the ads are so poorly targetted it's like, hey, the profiling is all wrong! Hooray!

I’m so sorry you’ve gone through so much drama! Do you have anyone you can talk to, a counselor/therapist as such? I’m watching my sister-in-law get dragged backwards by the hair through an ugly divorce and it’s awful to watch.

Our friends daughter is dealing with a surprise nasty divorce. It is awful to watch what people will do to each other.

That under coop space is such a bonus in your chilly winters!

It is one of the best parts of the coop design. It doesn't freeze because it never gets wet. Always dustbathing available for them in the depth of winter.

Exactly! Theyre Nuts! I had no idea you have twins! your right support support support And then i have the extra one a yr younger! Its cool though he had those boys on his own for a few days and he realized how hard it is then they were so bad for him looking for me and he almost never keepsthem on his own he had no idea what to do

He had the gall to complain i havent been able to potty train them all!



Awe thank you! i do not have anyone professionally but my mother in law and i are super close i love her to bits. She was on my side and she bawled about it right along with me and we stayed in touch the whole time. In fact shes still mad with him for me. i do have alot of family support but they all live at least 100 miles away. So thats where i went and he knew we could have stayed as long as we wanted they are each very wise in their ways and we were fine.

Couldnt fathom staying away from my boys though. Just couldnt. I am a mom first, no matter what, they are my whole world.

I'm so sorry for all you've been through lately. I hope his appreciation of you stays strong from now on.

Qualies now! We want to hear about birds right? Well Dh cant take care of my birds and i know that. I had no other choice no one in my family will tolerate them at all and for a few mins there i was sayn i was gonna have to sell off Everything, coops and cages included after everything ive invested in this Business im running

I knew he would leave em to thirst and starve so i had to be cautious and added extra waterers and feed. Several babies werent ready for so much water in their home and drowned themselves. Some still have not been located yet but one boy was Reaching in and taking them Out! Dh not keeping eyeballs on toddlers several were from a friend i let her incubate 50 eggs and she didnt do things quite right so there were several problem babies.

Still. 64 remain

Had to set up the whole second brooder box for the first time! Each of these boxes are 4'x2' theyre growing like weeds though and they needed the space. 9 days old today

Its truly incredible how theyve tripled in size since hatch in Nine days

Ive said it before and ill say it again, the quail are so incredible if i didnt have such amazing lines of chickens id nix em all for just quail
