I can always candle it. I just don't know when to do so. Anyone know how long I should give the 3rd egg?

Thank you so much. Sydney did it. She put up with Lilly and Sansa pecking at her, Phyllis trying to take her on. Nothing dissuaded my little momma. She did such a great job.

Respectful Aunties

Something very interesting happened today. I only caught one other hen in the coop all day. Video of her below. (guess who it was before watching if you dare) it was like they knew to leave Sydney alone today. I probably have eggs all over the yard! It just seemed like they wanted to give her space today.

I believe it's 25 days ~ but what would I know? Shad will know... when he turns up again. Those lamps must be doing really well.

Me too! (Minus Sansa). I thought it would be Phyllis but I decided on Hattie.

Did you notice how Sydney fanned her tail when Phyllis turned to look at her? I’m guessing that was a signal to stay away.

I originally thought Sansa because she has been nesting next to Sydney lately, but when Bob said "It just seemed like they wanted to give her space today." I thought, "now who would be most likely to try and wind Sydney up?"
