I received a lovely surprise today!!

Seems the Post Office is working again and I received my Christmas cards finally!!

When my birds are sick, or hurting, I stress out badly.

Me too Alex. I don't do well with sickness. This is the 2nd time this girls taken a trip to the vet. I suspect whatever the problem is it's not fixable & that is problematic...

We now have a vet who travels to the island twice a week. She does keep chickens herself, which is helpful, but we aren't doing well treating whatever ails Medh.

If I were to choose a favourite of the six, it would be Anne of Cleves. I think she heard of his reputation as a husband and made herself as physically unattractive but remained personable as she possibly could. Maybe she cut her hair off or made sure she had a minor snot issue or faked a hairy wart on her chin or somesuch? Anywaehe was repulsed but charmed and she survived.

By all accounts she was a very clever & intelligent woman. Of all his wives I've always liked her best.

It is quite tragic. You would have noticed that I never talk about her now and I was rather obsessed at the time.
