This seems reasonable to me. I'm glad you have thought out a solution for both. I'm sorry the injury has forced the situation but this was going to happen at some point anyway. Wasn't it?I've decided to adapt one of the duck sheds to make a coop for Treacle and Moon.
I don't think Treacle is ever going to allow Cillin into the main coop again.
Jenny's and Solomon's main shed is large enough to put a divider in (there was one in before) and they've been sleeping together anyway.
I can't blame Treacle for his behaviour. He's learnt it from his dad who has spent the last year chasing Treacle away fromm the hens unless Treacle has been on escort duties.
I didn't really want to meddle in this but Fat Bird and Fudge and at times Tackle are very reluctant to go into the coop at night now that Cillin isn't there.
It's a terrible shame but I can't make the pair get on and there is no way I could rehome either; it would just break my heart.
Cillin is fine roosting in the house at the moment but he should, as they both should, be with their hens.
I think Treacle and Moon will make a couple. I'm not entirely sure how this will work out,
