Same here. Mine are pets, too. Most, if not all of us on this thread keep them as pets. I even have one I keep on hormones NOT to lay.i keep birds even if they dont lay eggs any more. Floppy is laying less but ill love her no matter what.

Well I bucketed in heaps from under a gum in the front yard (all leaves very brown and dry) and covered the ground of the run.I’ve heard it’s not meant to be good for them, but we get eucalyptus leaf litter and I don’t think it’s caused any harm.
I deep litter using gum leaves. As Lozzy says, it's not meant to be good for them but it's what I have, it's free & it doesn't seem to be hurting anyone.Question for the Aussies:
