A lesson I've learned today:

Just because is it like 70° and beautiful out, and you've got a brand new pedicure so you don't want to switch into shoes...well these are not good reasons to go into your chicken yard wearing flip flops.

The babies all were entranced by my painted toenails and did not gently tell me.
