The sun came out for approximately 2 minutes, I didn't see if the chickens noticed.

Yes, it was a young bird, just fledged would be my best guess but fully grown it wouldn't be much bigger than that. That beak looks like a juvenile bird.
That’s what I imagined they were chatting about over breakfast.Well you've lost me Lozzy.
How do you know what Alice, Edwina and Pepper have been looking at on BeakBook? They don't tell me anything!![]()
Yes this!Yes. That.![]()
Oh wow, they’re THAT good! The hens eat the leaves too but apparently the tubers are exquisite and worthy of high pitched squeaking and running off with one in your beak so your friends can't get any of it.
Yes. They!Yes this!![]()
It composts and the heat kills off any worm eggs that might be in there. Is it ok to bury some of the poop in during the winter? I heard it keeps them warm
You can use a knife or small spatula to scrape up watery poo into a specimen jar. Thankfully the vet doesn't need a lot to do the test. The things I know that cause persistent watery poop are worms, mites & coccidea. I'm sure other things do too but I would be checking those 1st. Hope it clears up soon.I am beginning to worry about Minnie. Her comb is a little less vibrant and she still has diarrhea.
Mind you Dotty had diarrhea today too and her comb is the reddest shiny red you could imagine.
I will call the vet tomorrow about fecal tests on chickens but still not sure how to get a sample of liquid.
I will give Kefir and rice tomorrow - both good against diarrhea assuming a benign cause.
Minnie hasn’t let up her share of the digging so that is encouraging.
