Just wanted to share something with my chook friends; yesterday I passed my Jishukan brown-belt grading! It was quite a tough slog, especially during Covid, but black-belt will be much tougher!

I wish I hadn’t missed the tip of her comb in the shot.

She gets about 3 mealy worms during this process - doubt that will harm her.
Unfortunately she has rejected both fish and scrambled egg (normally a favorite).
She likes earthworms, shrimp, and grass. I am sprouting some seeds for her as she clearly wants green stuff.
Good catch on grit - I will make some available inside.
She is a worry!

Good call on grit @Shadrach - Maggie was the only one interested in some grit I set out. She only took a few pieces though.
Her crop was full again this morning so I did the massage routine. Boy does that chicken love coconut oil! She will grab and swallow quite big chunks of it. I wonder if she knows it helps her crop.

18F yesterday and windy. Here's Peanut. She's had to fend off "helpful" pecks grooming those shoulder pins coming out. "Thanks, no, please don't"
(Popcorn tries again)
"I said, no. Really, I'm fine!"
(Popcorn pecks lightly again)
"Hey! No! I mean it! Enough!" (Peanut gives Popcorn two pecks on her face, Popcorn finally stops)

And a size comparison, everyone was fluffed out, if they had any fluff to fluff!
