I think I get the crossing and splash thing. I don’t get blue vs lavender vs grey.
They don't use 'grey' in the chicken world. They use 'blue' or 'lavender' Think of it like 'Greenland.' Greenland has a relatively short window of 'green' given it's latitude....it is ALL marketing, lol.

Yes. Greenland is all ice and Iceland is mostly green. Easy!

@rural mouse here is my go at comb and feet for the black one. I have no clue on the comb it is very hard to see. If I had to guess I would say straight/single or whatever that kind is called. I don’t know about the feet either except I think they are pretty cool looking. All I can be sure of is this one does not like the camera and has a cute white fluffy butt!

Wow, been absent for 3 days and a lot has happened. Royalchick has babies. They are so adorable. My grandmother got released from the hospital late Tuesday night. She flat out refused the week of in hospital rehab they wanted her to do. She now is staying with us and starting next week will do in home rehab 3 days a week. She is not happy about that, but it was the only way they would let her come home. She is having to use a walker and is not supposed to get up by herself. Well, me and mom are taking turns watching her around the clock as she tries to do it herself. I've already had to run and catch her once with her trying to sneak out of the bed. We are exhausted, and every day she keeps insisting she's going home in a few days. I'm letting that go in one ear and right out the other.

So hard.
:hugs
The good news is that stubbornness in her will help her recover and refuse to give up.

This one is my favorite. That is a straight or single comb. This little lady will be your black hen you've been wanting. I'm going to guess Australop, unless you found someone with clean leg Marans.

Isn't she adorable? But guess again.
