RC is a citizen of the world so we can settle on the correct approach to trimming a chicken being to use a rugby hold.
Actually RC is not remotely interested in sports and of those has only ever attended a single match/game and that was rugby.
Rugby hold is good. 😉 Four out of 5 of mine played soccer so it's really the only football I know anything about. However you don't use your hands in soccer...unless you're the goalie of course! 😆

Probably a number of different things going on with Minnie. I truly hopt its now all settled down & she can get back to normal.
The big thing going on with Minnie is she has discovered that the Hooligans have become bolder while she was in hospital.
She is on a mission to put them in their place.
She seems to pick on Lulu which is fascinating as they are the same breed.
Mean Minnie appears to have got her energy back!

Minnie’s crop was empty this morning. She went to bed with a normally full crop (not mega bloated) so I was optimistic.
But yay!!
I have no idea what of the various treatments worked but I don’t care. They worked!
:yesss:

I just gave her last dose of miconazole so I will start to feel less like I am running an infirmary.

Now she, Maggie and Dotty still have diarrhea which is how this all started, and I still have weirdly walking Bernadette. But at least I am not syringing and worrying about every bite of food.

Back to diarrhea. Is it possible diet is part of the problem? They are all on chick starter which is very high protein. But they are foraging a lot because the weather is good. Hmmm.
So glad to hear good news about Minnie! Hoping it continues for her and whatever is she is sorting out.
Good morning everyone. Happy Fluffy Butt Friday. I will probably use a old photo later on tonight. I do not think I'm going to be up to bringing out the camera today. In the past 3 days my sweet Daisy has taken a decline, and this morning she is walking like a penguin. It is sadly time and I will not let her suffer. I am just having a cup of coffee mentally preparing myself to do the deed. I can do it, but I am a wreck afterwards. I am torn on opening her up to see exactly what the problem was. I want to know, but I think I'm going to bury her intact with dignity. I will most likely end up spending a hour digging her grave as my yard is fill dirt which means all rocks but she is getting a place of honor in front of my River Birch tree beside my golden retriever. It was one of her favorite hangouts, and the place she loved to snake hunt the most so it is fitting.
Sorry that it is time, and sorry she is in pain. You gave her the best life she could have. It is hard to lose a friend, even when the day is expected. I think with you helping her pass, though hard on you it has got to be the easiest for her. :hugs :hugs

Can't be good at everything. Besides, sometimes it is good to have someone wait on YOU for a change! (too bad you have to be sick for it, though)
No~one to wait on me. I get to be sick & miserable all on my own. 🤣 At least no~one else has to listen to me whinge about it.
