When it rains it pours! I just posted this thread in the emergency forum and would be very grateful if some of you would give me their opinion, I'm feeling emotional and overwhelmed and not sure I'm thinking very clearly. My question is whether or not attempt a 1h45 drive for a visit to the vet.

Good morning everyone, happy Sunday.

Today I plan on clipping Sally my old pony who has a metabolic disorder and thus doesn't shed her winter hair. I will get before and after pictures.

Rose is ok this morning, this heat is giving her a lot of grief.

And Dorothy is definitely broody

This is what we did when she was ill. But I think we really traumatized her when we dewormed her, because since then she sleeps in a place on the roost where we just can't reach her. She's too high, in a corner right next to a hole in the wall and she shelters in it when we come near.
My partner will be home tomorrow so maybe we can look quickly during the day when she's quiet. I don't want to stress her.

Thanks everyone again for all the reactions and advice. It has really helped me to see things more clearly. And sorry for trolling the thread with sad posts. Caramel isn't doing better but she's hanging on. I'll update when we get back from the vet tomorrow.

For now i'll pay a pony Sunday tax!

This is a photo from 1992 of my teenage crush Quincey, with teenage me. He's the horse I was leasing when I stayed in California for a year, against french lessons and baby sitting for the stable owner's son. He was a much more delicate horse than those I rode before and he taught me a lot.

It’s a good day! Seems the pic of my departed hen Beethoven-Hen (RIP) has been chosen, for the BYC caption contest. I’m very proud that she’s still making her mark here in the club, (even in death)

I hope you offer her coconut oil to see if that loosens any potential particle being trapped.

What a beautiful creature that horse is . I hope you had lots of fun riding him.

I would venture out on a gorgeous chestnut brown pony when I was a girl. She was such a calm loving little lady and would somehow know when as i arrived at the farm, it was a rare thing when she wasn't at the gate to meet me
