Don't know what to suggest for the vent, but boiling water down the drain should get any in there.
I've done boiling hot water and salt. They love white vinegar so can't use that.

Thanks so much to all who are trying to guide me. 🙏 @RoyalChick

I truly appreciate everyone 💗

My friend is coming to help me with this cooker now.

I would interested to see what a Pompei and Marty cross would look like, I bet they would be pretty.
I have never seen him breeding her. And in fact I hardly ever see him covering any of the gals. Pangoo would grab the gals hop on and do the thing!🥺

But Mr Pompei - I do not see him breeding the hens.

But ye I bet a cross with those two would be very cute ❤️

Sorry I haven’t been keeping up at all… is Grandma back with you and family? I hope all is well. I did catch an update about Rosies surgery a little while back, but I am hopelessly behind (but making some headway on my roof). Hugs and best wishes for your family. :hugs
Not to worry I will u date you on things when I get to work today… haha.

I see still hot out your way! Hope the chickies and goats are good!

Are you sure you don’t live in the Gulf Islands? 😂 sounds so very familiar. Yeah, let’s ban wood stoves… switch everyone over to heat pumps in a place that has 1+week long power outages EVERY winter! Oiii let’s not even get stared on the anti-hunting crowd. I can’t afford those taxes! There’s a reason our island didn’t get the nasty deer hemorrhagic disease. Fewer deer, believe it or not by the four I have in the field everyday now, because every year we have people putting 12-20 in freezers and keeping the population in check. We have no apex predators.
Thirsty Thursday tax payment morning water cooler chat (this should be enough chickens to excuse my late ranting… and it’s still Thursday here 😉)View attachment 3261642
And Sammy, because he’s a gorgeous old manView attachment 3261644
So awesome to see everyone ❤️ And you special man 😊 love those wattles!

I fully understand that everyone doesn't have the same opinion on the subject of eating animals. I think all choices should be showed consideration for, when they are consciously made by people who love and respect animals.

@fuentemoon I also love her colourings! I don't remember if I've written about her arrival at our place before here. Gaston, the old farmer who had just given us Théo, showed up two days later without warning in his old tractor and he was holding her in one hand, poor thing, he had tied her leg's together with a piece of string. He handed her to me saying it was to keep Théo company until he grew up and the bigger hens accepted him. She was the prettiest, daintiest chicken I'd ever seen... and also the wildest one !
Théo and Chipie their first week here in quarantine.

@Lexicon I'm seeing your Isabella has pretty much the same colour and some similarities, do you know what the colour is called, and what kind of chicken she is ?

You and ponypoor enjoy funny hairdos 😂.
Yep we like the punk rock look❤️

I found that my bread bin was attracting them so I've thrown it out and ordered a new one. I've scoured along my work surfaces. It's taken so long and still going back in intervals.
Now I need help to move my gass cooker because the renters will not be replacing the tops to fit for two years and I need too get around and under the cooker

I don't like using this ozone machine I have in sheer desperation last night and closed the door. It did help but I'm still struggling.
Fruit flies come with any fruit you purchase. You can’t keep them out. It isn’t an issue of cleanliness. Just be diligent about trapping them for a few weeks each summer. I think their season is already passed for this year where I am
