Now the good news. It requires a bit of backstory first though:
I was adopted back in 1976 @ the age of 13 months. Back then they did closed adoptions and the adoptee had no way to find any information about their birth parents.
Then many states including the state where I was born passed the adoptee right to know law. At this point I was able to obtain my original birth certificate. I tried to find my birth parents several times since getting it but to no avail. About 6 yrs ago I even went so far as to do the DNA test at Ancestry.com. Still no trace of them only very distant matches. So, I put it behind me figuring that was that and I wouldn’t be able to find out more. Also, my adoptive parents are amazing and I felt I had tried and could leave well enough alone.
Then today I got a message from Ancestry.com. A new match and a message from them. Turns out the message is from my half-brother that I never knew existed and he knew our mom. We are talking and may even visit each other!!
I am floored guys, you could knock me over with a feather

Incredible science doing amazing things connecting people and now I have a chance to learn about my biological mother and my brother. So cool!!
