Welp, hubby says if they are both confirmed hens then he is fine with it!!!
Today I'll be taking the feed bags and using them to wrap the west side of the coop and run. We have translucent plastic for the rest of it, but I don't have a plan for wrapping it yet. Maybe I'll install hooks? Going to staple the stuff to the back though, visibility that way is less important than wind protection.

Yeah, I don't think it is fair to have regular threads competing with contest threads! That should be a whole different contest! 🤔

I hope everything settles for the GOOD, @Ribh
I agree. It does not feel right. Glad we are not in this grouping.

Had a 2 year old bull moose scramble across the road in front of us on the way to work. Small rack + scramble = lack of confidence > spent last winter with Mama.

No one hurt, obviously no pics either.
That must be something to see. Wow!

(This is my first try at the synopsis. Please forgive me if I missed something which is almost inevitable.)

It is also very exciting that @RebeccaBoyd got a new silkie hen. She is 5-month old. Her name is Poppet. She is beyond adorable: https://www.backyardchickens.com/th...es-stories-of-our-flock.1286630/post-27235416

Why would Tassels suddenly be so mean to her? I think Tassels chased her away from the food.
Where does she set in the pecking order compared to Tassels? Reemerge when Phyllis was bottom hen and tried to sit, Aurora, #3 at the time was especially vicious to her. Going so far as to destroy Phyllis nest. I had to put wire up to protect Phyllis.

This is because those at the bottom of the pecking order are something not allowed to sit by the hens higher up. Even Sydney got abuse for sitting,. She was next to last in th he pecking order at the time.
