How many times a day does she get the pain meds? Can you do it at night when you're home (I thought your job is a local day job not a travel one?)
It is, but I have to go to another location 2hrs from here for the week. Mum will once again do my chores; so I am hoping that Red will be ok, and of course mama and baby. I put a camera in their crate to keep any eye on them. The babies were out and about all day, and mama was up and about also, I saw the one chick drinking on its own and showed them both were the water is. They should be fine.

Henny sleeping, babies all tucked under I am sure 💕

I have been doing Tylenol twice a day (7 and 7) and aspirin at 4pm.

Tonight we wrapped the 1/2 aspirin in some bread and she gobbled it up - she is good motivated.

We will go and try liquid Tylenol soaked in bread when I do night chores. Hopefully she gobbles this also!

OK so you do have to travel? I wonder if the vet can come out while you're away, if that has to happen this week?

Gosh! Look how much they have grown! I was marvelling at how my chicks need a bra hahahaha - their little crops are full.

It sure doesn’t take them long does it!

Peekaboo! Armpit baby haha!

I'll be making them something to snack on here in a bit, but they were not happy about coming out this morning!
Enjoy! 😁

Nice here today!

I actually got 10 hens out of that one but man it was hard!
When I dove into chickens as pets I learned what I could about the breeds I wanted. I still have a few bucket list breeds but I doubt I will see most of them!
If I win the lottery I want a pair of shoe Phoenix. And they will have a room in the house with yard access because if I have the money to get them, I should be able to cut a hole in the wall lol. Here is the king of the Fuzzballs- Cream. He has found that screaming one note is way better than a crow that takes 3. View attachment 3691932

Egg / chick update

There are two! And yes the one will be a frizzle. It seems to be the seeker of the two, even though it was born first. Will keep an eye on her.

Both only have 4 toes so no silkie toes, I think they both have leg feathers but not for sure, but I didn’t want to keep them from mama too long it’s cold here.

And both are white! So I am glad the one is frizzle so I can tell them apart haha!
