Alright - I'm very angry now. What is killing my birds?! Now Breezefeather passed, her whole backside ripped open in the yard?! I need a camera or something! This should not be happening!

Rest in peace and fly high, Breezefeather.

Oh no!!I am so sorry to hear this. Maybe keep them contained for a few days to see if some predator is about.

My heart goes out to you 😢

After 4? years the run is mostly fenced at last. It has had chicken wire around the bottom three ft from the start, except for the door which had nothing, rendering the rest pointless.

Well done! That looks great.

And awesome about the mamas 😊♥️

My fiend JD, who takes care of our chickens when we are out of town, is looking to add to his chickens this year and asked for Orpingtons. Try as I might, I could not find Jubilee Orpingtons, so I went with an old favorite. 🥰

Because of minimum orders, there are 6 Polish and 4 Orpington eggs shipping on Monday. That gives me 10.

The ladies are sitting on about 24 eggs combined. Lady Featherington has 16 and Glynda 8. That is what happens when they go broody when you are away for the weekend. Glynda also had one break and is covered in yolk on one side.

I need to get more ceramic eggs so I can put them in other nest spots. The girls are sitting on all the ones I have right now! 😆
